The Long Awaited Homecoming

Well, in the morning my best friend and soulmate is starting his travel from West Virginia to Texas. He will arrive in Temple, TX on Friday September 3. Our love and dedication to each other has grown so much over this past year. I can honestly say that absence does make the heart grow founder. For me, the distance apart from each other made me learn to fully trust someone again. It allowed me to better rely on myself and not the other person so much in the relationship, not to depend on them for everything and learn to fend for and enjoy my own company while I was alone. Just knowing that someone was there that loves me unconditionally, for me, for my heart, no matter how far apart we are was what caused me to grow. Brian is the most confident, outgoing, fun loving, amazing man that I have ever met. He loves me with everything that he has and goes out of his way to make me happy. In saying that I will say that he makes time for himself as well. Which at first, I will admit took me a little off guard. I would say things like "your going to the movies by yourself, that is wierd." Now, guess who goes to the movies and out to eat by themself...you guessed it me! I still enjoy going with people to these things but Im now ok with going there alone. We have shared numberous (way to many to count) hours on the phone, texts, and video cam. So, greatful for At&t mobile to mobile. We have spent every holiday apart, except for Brian's birthday in December. I am looking forward to all holidays being spent together, starting with Labor day. Which I think is such a special holiday to spend together first because we have put a lot of hard labor into our relationship and I am greatful to see us finally together forever. I love you Brian Southworth and I look forward to spending my life with you. This homecoming is long awaited and soon we will wait no more.

The surprise day off

So, Kaylee went to camp yesterday and surprisingly Emalee got way more upset then I expected. She cryed and said that four days are forever, she was going to miss her sister way to much. Kaylee has been getting lots of attention lately with the whole getting ready for camp, run to walmart here, pick up something else there for camp. Emalee was feeling left out. So, today I decided to take the day off and run errands that need to be done and spend the day with Emalee. When I told her that i had done this she got real excited and said "you did, for me" with the biggest smile on her face. Priceless. When I asked her what she wanted to do, she said go to the mall, what seriously, awwlright!Sounds like my kind of day!

The growing 10 year old

Ten years ago I held a beautiful baby girl in my arms. This evening I packed a suitcase for her to go to preteen camp. Time passes way to fast, you blink your eyes and your kids no longer think barbie is cool or that they can have blues clues sheets on their bed. Gone are the days of barney, veggietales, and bear in the big blue house. When your kids are babies you cant wait for them to crawl, walk, and talk. Then suddenly they are old enough for preteen camp and to attend the middle school sunday school class at church. Yes, that is right, today Kaylee who is going to be in the fifth grade attended the 5-8 grade MIDDLE school class at TBC. I guess what I have learned today is cherish every moment, whether your child is on your last nerve or being an angel, today is a day your will never get back. Dont waste it wishing that your child could do something they arent old enough to do yet, or wanting to get back yesterday. Live today for today.

Waiting

Remember when you were little and Christmas was on its way? Remember the exitement that you felt laying down in bed on Christmas eve, awaiting the moment that your eyes would fly open and you would see all the fantastic presents that Santa left you? I have that same kind of excitement now only I have to wait 91 days to see my fantastic gift. In 91 days Brian is moving to Texas from West Virginia. My girls and I have been so blessed to find this amazing man that loves us. He is my best friend and I love him. He is the missing piece to the puzzle. God has truly worked out the details and all i can say is wow. The waiting is tiring, but the reward will be so worth it.
